Organ in the Hills
HENRY WALLACE F.R.C.O. at the organ of St Mungo, Simonburn.
As well as some well-known Bach chorale-preludes, Henry puts this inspiring little instrument, acquired by St. Mungo’s from York Minster in about 1908, through its paces in a balanced programme of (mainly) German pieces. This was the first recording ever made by Divine Art in 1992) and was to raise funds for the organ restoration.
