Michael Collins

Michael Collins began his career at the age of 16 when he won the woodwind prize in BBC Television’s “Young Musician of the Year” competition. He later studied at the Royal College of Music and made his proms début in 1984.

He then became principal clarinet with the Nash Ensemble, the London Sinfonietta and the Philharmonia Orchestra and is without doubt one of the world’s leading clarinet soloists.
